Reviews and Ratings
My stay at this hotel was a delightful experience. The rooms, though facing the parking lot, were surprisingly quiet and beautifully designed with a Kimpton touch. They are on the smaller side but well-appointed, creating a bright and beautiful atmosphere. The service exceeded my expectations, catering attentively to all our needs, including driving us around Aspen. The location is fantastic, just a short walk from downtown Aspen and nestled against the mountain. However, the presence of rowdy locals in the pool area was a downside. The dining options were excellent with a top-notch breakfast menu, and the facilities were well-maintained.
The suite at this hotel was modern, clean, and convenient, with a retro feel that I found awesome. The king bed was very comfortable, but the price was a bit high for the off-season. The service, particularly from the bellmen, was great and made me want to come back. The location right at the base of Aspen's famous ski area and in the middle of the chic shopping area was unbeatable, but there were some issues with the public access to facilities. The dining experience was fantastic with a continental breakfast, but the fresh sushi was really disappointing.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were well-maintained and comfortable, spacious enough for a boutique property like this in NYC, Miami, or LA, yet slightly out of style. Upgrading to a suite was a good choice as it offered a better experience and free broadband with the Kimpton rewards program. However, the suite was a bit on the small side.
I stayed at this hotel for a short getaway, and overall, it was a mixed experience. The rooms, although small, were well appointed and had a trendy boutique style. However, being on the ground floor meant having to navigate steps with luggage, which was a bit inconvenient. The bathroom was also quite tiny, making it a challenge for two people to be in there at the same time.
The hotel offers incredible views of the mountains and ample space in the rooms. The ski concierge service is a great convenience. However, the outside corridor location may not be ideal for those with bulky gear. The noisy public hot tub can be a drawback for guests seeking a more peaceful experience.
I felt like I hit the jackpot with this hotel's amazing location, just across from the Little Nell and a stone's throw from the gondola. The rooms, while a bit snug, were still comfy with sleek modern furnishings, a plush bed, and a well-stocked mini-bar. However, the bathrooms are on the smaller side. The service was top-notch, with genuinely friendly staff offering great suggestions for exploring the area. The facilities, especially the relaxing spa area and cozy fireplace seating outside, were a real highlight. The only downside was the slightly limited dining options, but the overall experience was fantastic.
Staying in the King Deluxe room for $372 a night during the summer felt like a total joke, but at least it was more quiet than other rooms away from the contest's 'runway'. The service room also stood out by bringing in your belongings at night and taking them out in the morning, though it was clear they viewed customers as a bother rather than the reason for their employment.
Staying on the first floor with its own outdoor exit made taking the dogs for potty breaks a breeze. The room was delightful and very comfortable, equipped with all needed amenities like flat screens, iPod stations, a stocked wet bar, great toiletries, and comfortable pillows and linens. Constantly stepping over the dogs could be a challenge at times.
The hotel had a retro feel to it and was awesome, although the rooms were a bit small with small bathrooms. It was clean and a little dated, but on the 2nd trip, an in-room gas fireplace was a nice addition. The service was reasonably helpful, albeit with some attitude, which was unexpected for a Kimpton property. The location was superb, right at the base of Ajax, perfect for skiing enthusiasts. The dining experience was continental but satisfying, especially with heaps of fresh fruit and good yogurt. Overall, a great stay with some minor drawbacks.
I had a pleasant stay at the hotel which provided comfortable rooms that were big enough for the four of us. The ski concierge service was a great touch, making our mornings hassle-free. While the open-air entrance might not be everyone's cup of tea, the friendly and attentive staff truly made our stay memorable.
I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable, and the balcony was a nice touch. However, the lack of views outside the hotel was a bit disappointing. The in-room gas fireplace on my second trip added a cozy atmosphere.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms, while surprisingly small with a low ceiling, were still comfortable enough for hanging out or doing some work. It was one of the most quiet hotels I've stayed at, which was a big plus. However, the service, though friendly and helpful, seemed more focused on parties than serving guests. The location was excellent, right in the bustling downtown area of Aspen, but it turned into a loud party spot with blaring music during the day. The dining experience had its ups and downs, with fresh fruits but somewhat boring options. The facilities were basic but enjoyable.
The hotel offers beautifully appointed rooms, although they are on the compact side, with very friendly service and an excellent location. The dining options are good but could be more varied. The facilities are attractive and well-maintained.
I had a lovely stay at this hotel. The location was fantastic, right across from the Little Nell, steps from the gondola, and close to restaurants and shops. The service was top-notch, with helpful staff always willing to assist. However, the rooms, although nice, fell slightly below major chain standards. The dining experience was excellent, especially the breakfast offerings.
Staying at the hotel was a bit of a mixed experience. The rooms, while reminiscent of a tired motel from the outside, had a pleasant surprise with a touch of Kimpton design inside. The street noise on the ground floor was a minor annoyance but didn't ruin the stay. The service was accommodating and made up for initial hiccups with a generous discount. The location, though not as luxurious as neighboring options, was ideal for accessing downtown Aspen. The dining offered good value, especially the continental breakfast. The facilities, including the spa area and outdoor fireplace seating, added a relaxing touch to the stay.
